Don't Miss Out!!!! Dresses for under $700

This Friday at Filene’s Basement is the annual Running of the Bride’s from 8am-9pm at the Chicago Store at The Finlene’s Basement at One North State Street. Filene’s Basement is known for its bargains on everything from fashions to luggage, but perhaps the store is most famous for its annual Bridal Gown Events when brides-to-be can save hundreds, even thousands of dollars on designer wedding gowns.
The sale is held in selected Filene’s Basement stores once a year. News reports so often compare it to the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain that the event is now officially called the “Running of the Brides®.”

The day of the sale, brides-to-be and their helpers line up early. When the doors open, they run full speed towards the racks. You can snag an amazing wedding dress from $249-$699. For tips on how to best “tackle” this fun event, email pat.boudrot@filenesbasement.com.

Have you ever seen MTV's My Super Sweet Sixteen? http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/sweet_16/series.jhtml#/ontv/dyn/sweet_16/series.jhtml It's just amazing - full of all of the drama and glamour of sophisticated boys and girls growing up FAB-U-LOUS. So, if you're a teenager who is having a fabulous teen party (and you're 15-18), we want you as a client. Undaunted and with a Dad who likes to please? Call us. If you've got some truly fabulous ideas, we'll pitch you to MTV and see what happens!

Recession Proof Tips!

Do Something Unexpected - An eye-catching statement doesn’t have to cost you a ton of money. Put dry ice in your favorite signature drink, float water lillies or candles in the pool, put the dj on the roof.

Exaggerate Your Theme - Simple things like carrying your color scheme out the entire way through each detail can have a big effect. If you are planning cirque du soliel theme, splurge on linen...purchase peacock feathers, large silver balls, glass vases and flowers in greens, bright purples and you will have amazing decor!

Multitask - Martini luges are functional, act like decor AND entertainment as guests ogle at the novelty of booze flowing through a frozen
sculpture. - The Party Goddess

"Watch out on this one as it can really get cheesy if not done properly!"

Use Alternative Seating Options - No need to seat everybody at 66” rounds. Instead, try combinations of squares and rounds, Highboys with barstools, cabs, and/or lounges with couches and cubes.
